The traditional annual Costume Institute's Gala or the "Met Ball" (in the Metropolitan Museum) took place Monday night, celebrating the new exhibition "The Model as Muse."

What was the inspiration behind this trend? Was it pictures of glamorous supermodels? Was it
the will to forget about the recession and go back to a more nostalgic & classic times like the 50'&60? Or was it just a crazy idea of a stylist, that watched too many movies of that era?
